Fourth round of 6 of the 2004 UAE Rally Championship, under the patronage of Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohamed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, the 2004 edition of the FEDERATION Rally was offering a high competitive grid of entrants.

The total distance of the rally was 301 Kms with 7 special stages covering 90 Kms over 2 legs.

On Wednesday 14th, the Buhirat Khalid Corniche of Sharjah was the perfect location for a Prologue and a superbe spectator stage (2 Kms track) designed by the Emirates Motor Sports Federation.

The 33 competitors -including both 4x4 and saloon car- offered a spectacular show to the attendance.

On Thursday afternoon, 22nd after the Prologue, "Les Gaulois" held to Al Dhaid and then to Wadi Weshah for the first stage of leg 2.

One week after the reconnaissance, they enjoyed the rocky track of this stage and position themselves 19th overall.

With a second stage of 9.5 Kms, it was a real sprint of 5mn and 40sec for "Les Gaulois" with a real shock after 3 Kms when they saw the previous competitor car rolled over in the middle of the track...!

16th overall after this stage and a change of defective tyre, they were very confident about the coming stage Al Shabhana (21.2 Kms) before Service Area.

With strong wind and poor visibility, the car was running fine.

Unfortunatly, they had to renounce on Km 16 due to electrical problems; they will not reach the Sharjah Millenium Hotel...
