CHAMPIONS RALLY

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Rashid Bin Ahmad Al Mualla, Member of Supreme Council and Ruler of Umm Al Quwain, the 5th round of the 2004 UAE Rally Championship has offered some spectacular action from "Liberty Damas" Rally Team.

109 Kms of special stages (over 7 stages) out of a total distance of 215 Kms (over 2 legs) for this rally.

The EMSF registered 31 entrants and took again the same Prologue track than the SPRING Rally on Umm Al Quwain Corniche.

Finishing 22nd overall but with an improved stage time clock of 20 seconds in comparison with the SPRING Rally, "Les Gaulois" reached the Parc Ferme located at EC&MRC, before a good night of speed at the Bin Majid Beach Resort.

With 3 stages before to return to the EC&MRC for service, "Les Gaulois" performed well on the Khor Al Yofrah stage (21.85 Kms) with a 16th position overall.

Unfortunately, just 1.5 Kms before the Finish Line after some good thrills and exciting turns on a fast and clear stage, they faced the same electrical problem on Tawi Bu Salaf stage (19.05 Kms) than last April FEDERATION Rally.

A second elimination that decided "Les Gaulois" to go thru serious checking and consulting (AAA and MGM Motorsports) including some additional fitting vehicle preparation; with a target clearly defined: 2004 UAE Desert Challenge Finish Line!!!!!!!!!
